This has been a hard lesson for me.

I’m talking about selling. Not just marketing and visibility.

I mean actively selling, sharing offers and asking for the sale.

Guys, this isn’t something that comes easy to me.

And asking for the sale brings up all kinds of fears and worries.

Because it’s something that isn’t JUST about business for me.

What if no one buys?
What if it I look too pushy?
What if people get sick of me?

Putting myself out there like that brings up all kinds of worried and insecurities.

Like I said. It becomes more than just business.

And I think for a lot of people like me, it’s hard to separate business and self. Because our business IS who we are. It’s not just something we do. It’s part of our being. Especially when we invest and share so much of ourselves everyday.

It’s personal.

But the bottom line? As business owners, we NEED to sell.

Setting intentions and posting good feeling, inspiring shit isn’t going to cut it.

Sure. Some people will go digging for what you’re offering if your content had captivated them enough, but not everyone will.

They need to know what you have going on, and they need it in front of their faces.

Consistently.

Like I said. This had been a super hard lesson for me to wrap my head around.

Because if I’m being honest, I would love it if I could just write my blogs and have people magically buy all the things.

But it just doesn’t work that way. People are bombarded by info from so many other businesses and friends and family.

I can’t possibly be that selfish as to think they are actively digging around my website and only my website.

Selling everyday is a mindset shift, really.

Because if it doesn’t come naturally to you, it’s not something you just DO without feeling weird or worried.

And if you’re feeling any kind of resistance, that energy is going to make it’s way into your sales posts and pages and then the offers won’t do as well.

* How will my offers change my audience’s lives?

* How are they better off with my offers?

* What will they be missing out on if they don’t buy from me?Why am I deserving of making money for my expertise?

* Do I stand 100% behind what I’m offering? If not, what can I do to make it a no brainer for me to offer, and for my audience to buy?

Answer these. Dive deep into these. See just how great your offers are.

You see, it’s not about the exact thing you are selling. It’s about the fact that the thing you are selling is the vehicle to change someone’s life.

And if you DON’T actively tell people about it, you’re holding back on them. They lives won’t be changed. They will miss out on your energy, your passion, your ability to change everything for them.
