Done right, content tells people all they need to know.
 
Content has the power to tell them about you, your business, what you can teach them.  HOW you teach. It can even radiate your unique energy. 
 
It gives them enough info to make informed decisions. Do they resonate with you? Can you help them? Do they want to invest in working with you?
 
You’ve heard of the Know, Like, Trust factor right?
 
That people want to work with businesses that they know, like and trust.  Because there are so many businesses today. It can’t just be about who had the best product or the cheapest rate. Consumers want more. And when they want to invest in quality, they pick the business that stands out in their mind as memorable and trustworthy.
 
So the content that you’re creating to tell people all about you? It needs to be On. Point. Your content needs to tell people about you, carry your energy and be strategic as hell. 
 
Luckily, each piece you create isn’t a stand alone piece. Everything you create adds to your value and your brand. Here are ways to easily increase what people know about you, get them to like you and eventually get them to trust you. 
 

Know

 
The know factor is all about being open and vulnerable. It’s about letting people see more of you than just your products and services. Tell them your back story. Tell them about your day. Share a little about what’s going on in your life. 
 
Increase your know factor by adding more information on your About page, or personal stories throughout your other content. 
 

Like 

 
The like factor is about getting people to fall in love with you. It comes after they get to know you. 
 
The thing with liking someone, is that it is subjective. People are either going to like you or they’re not. Period. We can’t get everyone to like us, so we might as well just be ourselves and let them decide which way they want to go.
 
This can be so hard for anybody who is a people pleaser type (former people pleaser right here!) but it really is one of the best things you can do for your business. By being yourself, adding your personality, sharing your opinions, it really helps to weed out the people who aren’t your true fans. 
 
When you truly let your personality show through, the ones who decide they do like you are going to keep coming back for more.
 

Trust 

 
The trust factor is all about making your audience feel safe. If they are going to work with you, invest money with you, they need to feel like they can trust you. 
 
Trust can be built up in multiple ways. On one hand they need to be able to trust that you can get them the results they want. On the other hand they need to be able to trust you on a personal level with their life and their business. 
 
Build up your trust factor by just being honest. Share real results. Show people that you genuinely understand them. This can include getting vulnerable and sharing your own journey from where they currently are. I really believe that just being genuine goes a long way when it comes to building trust. 
 
I’ve said it before. Content has a huge job to do. It drives traffic and make sales. And in between those, it has to get people to know you, like you and then trust you. 
 
Don’t overthink it. Just do you boo. Be real, be honest, be genuine. You’ll conquer the know, like and trust thing naturally and powerfully
