I had resistance to creating my offer.
The title came to me in a dream. It wasn’t even my idea. I know it was given to me.
But yet, I felt the resistance. I hesitated to create it. I struggled to write it. Even though I knew the idea was meant for me.
I knew it was something I needed to get out into the world.
But yet I felt the contraction. I felt the worry come up. The confusion when I thought about what needed to go into the offer.
How many times has this happened to you?
Whether the idea was downloaded or you came up with it on your own, how many times have you struggled to create it or put it out there?
Not because you didn’t believe in the program or offer. But because resistance is real. And its strong.
Here’s the thing we need to remember…
Resistance is strongest right before the breakthrough.
The more you’re pushing yourself, the more the thing will change your life, the more resistance shows up.
Kind of shitty isn’t it?
It’s like the worst kind of test.
Especially when the idea is gifted to you by the divine.
It’s like you need to prove that you believe it. And every fear and doubt comes up to throw you off your game.
And now you’re thinking, great Corinne, everyone deals with resistance.
Now what do I actually DO about it?
Well here’s what you do:
#1 Face it
This is the most important thing. In fact, I could probably be done with this post after this step.
When resistance shows up, you face it. You question it.
What exactly is the resistance?
What are the feelings behind it?
What are you afraid of?
What thoughts are coming up?
Sit with it. Journal on it. Get honest about your resistance and face it.
#2 Analyze the outcomes
Okay, here’s another step. Think about what would happen if you allowed the resistance to take over.
Would you be satisfied or would you regret it?
Picture yourself a week from now, a month from now.
How would you feel if you allowed yourself to give in to the fears?
If it’s anything less than “hell yeah I’d feel good” then you know you need to push through.
Which brings us to #3 …
#3 Push through it
Lastly, you push through and do it. You’ve uncovered the reason for the resistance and you know deep down you need to do the damn thing. So do it.
It’s okay to be afraid, but you do it anyway.
Resistance comes up for all of us. Especially when the result is something big. But that doesn’t mean you have to give in. In fact, you shouldn’t give in. Challenge your resistance, determine what you really want and push through it.
