Essential Oils

I’ve had a natural skin care routine for years. I’ve done the oil cleansing thing, and the washing with raw honey thing (which, by the way, works just as well on your face as it does on your gluten free toast. I’m talking amazing, glowing skin). I use carrier oil as moisturizers.

When I became a mom, I started to take a closer look at what I was using on my kids. We used cloth diapers and homemade cream on their diaper rash. We switched to natural soap when they had eczema.

So as they grew up, it made sense to use natural solutions.

Now, I’m not saying I’m perfect. I still medicate when all else fails. I don’t buy organic. My kids love sugar.

You pick your battles. And doing good for your family doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

So we do use oils for things like:

  • Coughing
  • Runny noses
  • Tummy aches
  • Anxiety
  • Sleeping well
  • Bug bites
  • Boils and cuts
  • Boosting immunity during the cold season

With these kids, this is pretty much daily. And that’s just on the kids!

I use oils daily on myself for:

  • Blemishes and oily skin
  • Indigestion
  • To calm me or give me confidence before coaching calls
  • Energy
  • To hold off hunger

Pretty much anything you can think of, there’s a natural solution for it!
